Case Studies
AZ Optimum When AZ Optimum (a full-service carpet and flooring systems cleaning firm in Arizona) came to us, they had a static site built with a free online website builder. While the content was good, the layout and templates were limited by the choices available within the system. After a brief consultation with the client, we came to the conclusion that 2 separate templates were necessary. One for residential customers and one for corporate clients. Each customer had separate expectaions and needed information preseneted slightly different. The end result was 2 beautiful sales and marketing websites that are managed by one easy to use backend content management system, the ASI Website Builder with modifications to the infrastructure.
BBQ by Design BBQ By Design was a start-up company in 2004. The website needed to be an online marketing brochure that could be used to help customers make decisions without the need to travel to a showroom. The major hurdle in this project was to quickly and easy display similar products from many different vendors in a logical and appealing way without confusing the customer with too many choices at one time. The resulting website came together nicely. By using of the drop menus in the ASI Website Builder we were able to create sub categories to sort and display products by manufacturer in each of the different product lines. BBQ by Design continues to get compliments on the design and ease of use to this day.
Borders & Beyond A graphic redesign was produced in 2005 for Borders and Beyond, a landscape design firm in Arizona. We took the content from their static HTML site, added a few bells and whistles and redesigned their core code to use a new template based system. The graphic arts team focused on ease of use and elegance in the redesign.
One of the new tools added was an image resizing wizard that allowed us to quickly build image galleries that allow the user to click on high quality thumbnails to popup a high resolution photographs. The greater detail in the popup images allows visitors to get more information faster. "A picture is worth a thousand word." The site now truely displays thesee the quality work that Borders and Beyond has become synonmous with.
Positive feedback from old and new customers alike was immediate. One quote we received from a Borders and Beyond salesperson based on the redesign was... "Our old site was hurting us more than it was helping. Now when a potential customer visits our site, we are almost guaranteed to get a call."
Camelot Homes Quality Department In 2005 Camelot Homes was in the midst of a massive growth explosion. The company was growing at a record pace. Hiring new employees, training them and getting quaility results was an ongoing concern. So the decision to engage the subcontrators as their building partners was the logical decision. One problem, Camelot deals with 100's of contractors in dozens of subdivisions with 1000's of houses being built. Communication with the new partners was vital to the success of the program. And even more crucial to sustaining the high level of quality for which Camelot Homes is known and respected.
Enter the Quality Reporting System or QRS as Camelot Homes employees and partners know it. AutoSwag, Inc. designed a database system that allowed for tracking and sharing information about every home in every community, every employee, every subcontracting partner and every contact person within each of the partnering organizations.
A co-located reporting system was then developing that allows for entering the findings of quality inspections at various phases of the construction of every home Camelot Homes is currently building. Once the report is completed, an email is automatically sent to every partner with their own personalized list of and issues that need correcting. Camelot Homes' Quality Reporting System also tracks and reports against these findings as a whole. This allows quality trends to be established and adjusted as necessary.
The results of the program have been an astounding success in reducing the lead time to build a home by quickly identifying and reducing the number of ongoing issues. The continued success of Camelot Homes is due largely in part to constructive communications shared by the builder and their partners. |
